Yesterday I was checking the stats for my blog. I was pleasantly surprised to see that I am currently getting about 10,000 unique visitors per month! Quite a few people have been encouraging me to continue monitoring my site, paying attention to things like open rates, conversion rates, etc.
I totally get the point of doing so, but seriously. Ugh! I absolutely love blogging, but the behind the scenes stuff sometimes makes me want to toss my laptop into the ocean on one of my naked adventures!
I mean, who wouldn’t love to wake up, grab a cup of tea head out on a naked adventure, then write some meaningful words about their experience, add a few photos, maybe some video and call it a day? I know there are a few people out there who legit create a decent living this way and I would absolutely LOVE to make naked adventures and blogging my life’s mission.
However, the flip side of all of this is the business, technical, and marketing aspects of being a full time blogger. This morning, for instance, I wrote a deeply meaningful post straight from my heart. Then my laptop died and for some reason my post draft hadn’t saved. It’s gone and I must have been in a flow state free writing because I couldn’t remember what I’d written lol.
So this post may not be as inspirational but it’s real. I am here laying in bed naked sipping my tea but my to-do list for today is stacked. I won’t bore you with the nitty gritty, I’ll just share something with you. This blog keeps me accountable to my soul. To my naked nature. To my inner woman.
My life may have its challenges just like anyone else’s. But I want to thank you, my readers, my naked community, for inspiring me to get out there, get naked, and enjoy this thing we call life! I hope you are having an absolutely blissful and hopefully naked Sunday morning!
From my heart to yours,
PS: My other handle, one that I strive to embrace and activate in my life is ‘Laptop Diva’. Who knows, maybe I will be able to create a naked laptop lifestyle for myself. The haters are making’ me famous lol;)
PSS: I kept smelling weed while sipping my tea. Then I looked at the photo of my mug and was like, what are those little spots on my damn mug? If you’re not familiar with British Columbia pot laws, we recently legalized weed. I had a friend over who likes his green.
That’s marijuana resin on my mug, lmao. I thought about cleaning my mug and retaking the photo, but this is the REAL ME. This is an image of an authentic moment, it’s not posed or planned. Oh Joy. Lol. In case you’re now curious as to whether I’m a pothead or not, I’m not. I occasionally partake (like the photo of my and my sister smoking joints at the ocean on 4/20 but I’m not a regular pot smoker).
