Rewylde With Joy

“I’m a free spirit who never had the balls to be free.” Cheryl Strayed

I realize I’ve been silent for a bit. Those of you who’ve been reading my blog for awhile know that my writing ebbs and flows. I’ve not only been focusing on reconfiguring my personal life. I’ve also been reconfiguring my professional life.

There’s too much going on to try and share it all in a single blog post. Instead, I will share what I am currently focusing on. I spent the first few months of my separation grieving and healing.

After that, I decided to truly “get naked”. For me, getting physically naked was only a vital component on my personal healing journey. Now I am focusing on transformation.

Or more accurately, I need to reboot, reconnect and Rewylde myself. I talked a bit about the idea of rewilding over the past year, but recently I’ve been digging deeper into the process.

If you check out my white board, you’ll get a glimpse into my thought process. We’ve all heard healers and life coaches talk about mind, body and spirit. I’m expanding my personal focus to add heart, space, and flow.

The three most important components of the Rewylde movement are:

Self love

Sacred space

Flow

Self love encompasses meditation, connection, movement, expression, nutrition, self care, etc.

Sacred space encompasses your interior space (home) and your exterior space (nature).

According to Steven Kotler. Flow: “is defined as an optimal state of consciousness, a state where you feel youbest and perform your best.

I look forward to sharing with you as this journey unfolds. In case you can’t see the title of my book, it’s Stealing Fire 🔥

From my heart to yours,

Joy

I enjoy being nude but getting my wife to try it is out of the question. If I had the choice I would be nude all the time. But I am from Minnesota and it is not allowed. My wife is to much of a goody 2 shoes and won’t even try it. How can I get my wife to try it with out her getting angry. She is to religious.

    1. I lived in Iowa for five years so I understand that, for some people, nudity in their minds is perverted and not a sacred practice. I think partially people focus too much on the act of being nude. It’s such a natural thing. Just let it flow and I never recommend pushing one’s views on another…if you like it, it’s good.

I grew up on rural northern Michigan. Same problem there. One reason I left for California as soon as I was old enough and could scratch together the money. That was decades ago. Still, the North central states are a wonderful place to visit. Just not so great for getting one’s kit off.
