“When you just sit in silence the wind blows through you, the sun shines in you and you realize you are not your body you are everything.” –
The past year of my life has been transformative to say the least. If I had to choose some words to describe my existence during 2018 they would be:
- Soul searching
- Let go
- Self love
Over the holidays Salt Spring Island (where I live) was hit with an incredibly powerful wind storm. The damage was substantial and resulted in most of the island being without power.
The hydro at our air Bnb went out so I stayed in my sister’s yurt. Again. It was humbling to end 2017 in the yurt and return to the yurt at the end of 2018 due to unforeseen circumstances.
The exciting news is that I finally secured a long term rental here on Salt Spring! It is the cottage with a pond and horses that I rented as a short term rental in February, 2018.
I move in on January 1, 2019!!! It is the first time since my separation on September 28, 2017 that I will have an actual home. If you’ve been watching my journey unfold, you’d know that I have stayed in a lot of spaces this year.
It is calming my mind, body and spirit to know I will once again have a home to settle into. What I call “GetNaked Meditation” and “Rewilding” have been my saving grace. For me, being naked means so much more than simply shedding my clothing. It has become a way of life. I apologize for the gap in posts I was without WiFi.
If you celebrate Christmas, I hope it was peaceful and filled with both laughter and love.
From my heart to yours,
