Quiet Contemplation

Hey lovelies,

Today has been a deeply contemplative and introspective day for me. I am finding myself connecting with my inner voice as I make decisions that will shape my future.

There are so many unknowns and so many awe inspiring possibilities for me to consider. The phrase “It was the best of times it was the worst of times.” Comes to mind when I think about the past twelve months.

What is beneficial for my heart and spirit is that I can feel this chaotic chapter of my life coming to a close. The past is behind me and I am focusing on embracing the moment. I am truly excited to see what the universe has in store for me. I appreciate your connection and support during this time of transition.

I hope your day is bliss! 🔆

From my heart to yours, ♥️

Joy

Lee’s comment brings up a thought; it’s been some time since you posted stories about the outdoors, however you live in a fantastic area… I don’t know what transportation options you have or exactly how far the mountains are from where you live, but being outdoors is a great way to lift the spirit as you connect with nature.

Unlike most churches, mosques or synagogues which are situated in towns, many buddhist temples are set on mountains. A popular one near Monterey, CA has hot springs and a mountain trailhead. I think there is a reason for that; both the remoteness (meditation and solitude) but also for the connection to the earth and the surrounding features.

Similarly, although non-religious but very spiritual/introspective is the Esalon Institute in Big Sur, CA. Very expensive retreats/ conferences but their website may give you some creative ideas both personally and professionally as you rebuild your life and expand your business.

    1. Hey yes I actually live in Iowa at the moment where public nudity and being topless as a woman is not only taboo it is also very illegal. In addition, the immediate area around me is mainly flat and developed with farms, corn fields and small towns. The water is polluted and there are ticks and mosquitoes galore lol.

Monday after the pre trial for my divorce (fingers crossed that we manage to finalize things) I am leaving on a road trip to Ontario to see family. My daughter is flying back to BC then I am heading back to Iowa to get my tiny cabin ready to take out West to my sister’s property on Salt Spring in BC.

That is when I will reconnect with nature…

Hahahaha! Iowa, especially Eastern Iowa…flat as a pancake and as about as hot & dry in summer as a pancake eaten straight out of the pan without butter or syrup, if you aren’t on the Mississippi River. That explains the architectural styles in your pictures. Been through there; love the corn but don’t miss the place. I need the mountains or ocean. I thought you were still in Vancouver or at least BC. Enjoy your trip, have fun with family and good luck with moving the cabin; unless it’s being hauled on a flatbed trailer, don’t overload it despite what the movers say… broken axles are a thing on mobile homes & RV’s.

      2. Yes I am fixing up a 16’ tilt open deck trailer and adding new axels, tires, and brakes so it can haul my tiny. Will be an 1800 mike drive with one ferry from Vancouver to Salt Spring. Driving by myself and planning on cutting through Colorado on the way… should find some better scenery:) 💚

Does your life now maonly.consist of being naked, meditating and making love?

    1. In many ways yes. My three oldest kids are living independently and my youngest (14) is with her dad for the summer. So although it was at first a huge adjustment I have been working on embracing the resulting freedom. 💗

        I see.
